Early Resolution

SO I have been thinking about what I want my New Years resolution to be this coming year. I have them narrowed down to the top 3. Stay more in touch with extended family and friends which includes keeping this blog updated. Second is to concentrate on my family's physical health including losing some weight and showing Marilyn that we don't sit infront of the tv and we get out and play more. Third, find a hobby. The third sounds so easy but I have no idea what I would like to spend more time doing.

HERE GOES MY FIRST RESOLUTION:
Since I haven't written since May so mcuh has gone on. FIRST and most important: Our family is now complete with the addition of our son, Austin. Since then our life has really just consited of taking care of him. Balancing the two kids can be a challenge but it is getting easier every day. Marilyn loves being a big sister well most the time. She has started getting interested in Disney Princesses. It is fun to talk to her about how she can be a princess ;-) Right now we are trying to potty train so that is a challenging experiance for the entire family. We did take a trip as a family down to Texas for my 10 year high school reunion. It was a disappointment. I got to see the friends that I love and with that I could have called them and all met up at a bar instead of the "reunion". Sad to say I think that is the high lights but I will keep this updated more...well hopefully.

Springtime play

Marilyn has really enjoyed playing outside this year. We have tried to make the backyard hours of fun so Marilyn will be entertained here when Austin is born.

Early this season I went garage sale hunting and found a cute climber/slide.

Marilyn LOVES being in the water. Her daddy usually takes her to the big pool on Sundays but recently we have set up the little pool at the house.

Her newest toy has been a big sandbox but before we could convince daddy that it would be fun. Marilyn had to show him how much fun it was to play in the sand table. She especially loved spreading the sand around the deck and on her picnic table.

Marilyn has really started to show her artistic side. She enjoys coloring and loves stickers. She was serenading me with a song and clapping. And she and her daddy were having fun covering her hands with foil.

Mothers day

We had a wonderful mothers day. Paul fixed us breakfast and we went off to pick out flowers for the backyard. Marilyn was all dressed up to help plant in her new boots and garden tools. She gave me the gift of her pressence for mothers day and didn't take a nap. FUN!!! Here are a couple shots of the pots we made and one of Marilyn in her boots.
